Bleu Adoption

As much as I adored Bleu, he needed a more active home.  I had two months with him and was exhausted and though he love me, I could tell he needed more (especially a yard).  He was adopted by Khrissy and Louie and it was love at first sight for them all (not pictured, their golden lab Della, who Bleu followed around immediately after meeting and is now inseparable with.  After signing the paperwork, we sat them down in the Bowen's yard and magic happened (note: Bleu was not much of a kisser).

SO PERFECT.  I get updated on Facebook occasionally and Bleu is loving being part of a family again.

Meet Bleu

Say hi to new foster dog Bleu!   Bleu is four and a half years old and is a blue Great Dane.

Hi!  I'm so cute!

It's been a rough transition as he is VERY ACTIVE when anxious so no sleep the first night.  He is finally setting down though.  He and Molly mostly ignore each other.  The picture below is the closest they have been (except for walking together).

We're hoping to do a test car ride tomorrow to prepare for a visit to the Bowen house so he can have fun in the yard.  Wish us luck!

New Foster Dog Lily

I got a foster dog yesterday - her name is Lily.  Unfortunately, Molly is not too into her (yet?).  Lily is super skinny and has some injuries still to look at.  She was a stray someone found and turned in.  She is very puppy like and wants to be loved.  More info as I get to know her better.  (Still tired from her first night here - new sounds don't help me sleep).

MAGDRL 10/7/12 Meet & Greet

Molly and I did I first full Meet & Greet at Wylie Wagg in Fairfax for MAGDRL yesterday.  Molly was one of two donation dogs.  They helped to collect $181.35 in donations!
