"The Molly" Collar

My friend and coworker Sue wanted to send me a dog-warming present of a handmade collar from Etsy.  She was telling me how nice and colorful they were on her dogs.  After thanking her profusely the following IM conversation happened:


Kristen:  But you pick it out - something colorful :)
Kristen:  WAIT!
Sue: waiting :)

Footwarmer

I have a coworker in my home office today - my brother-in-law David is visiting with my sister Stacy and Molly really likes hanging out under his makeshift desk.  Apparently, she is an expert footwarmer.

Yesterday my dad came out to take Molly for a run.  When he got back, I had the happiest dog ever.

More Molly

Molly and I are acclimating to each other and this morning she was just the happiest dog ever.  She is loving her walks (as long as she doesn't get wet) and is getting used to me and my family.  Here are some cute pics and a video for you.

Sometimes she just like to be close to me - the black line in on the left is the arm of my office chair.

After drinking water, Molly is full of drool.  Of course, that's when she wants to cuddle.

Meet Molly

I finally got a roommate - meet Molly!

Yesterday I drove up to New Jersey to meet Molly and we bonded right away - and on the 6 hour drive home through traffic.  Molly is a mismatched mantle-merle Great Dane.  Everyone keeps saying that she is so big, but she is just the right size.

On the way home we stopped by my parents and Molly met my Dad, Mom and Todd and got to romp around the backyard for a bit.

Molly is still very shy and doesn't know what to do with this new place - I have beds for her everywhere but she just likes to lie on the floor.

Molly misses home and the other dogs she was with - I think she's still deciding whether I can live up to them, so right now there is a lot of reassurance.   Hopefully soon she will adjust and love her new life.
